Well after 24 hours of driving, I am now back in Wyoming! For those of you who I have not told, I am working with SROM again. Instructor training starts Monday, so I will be gone until the end of the month. Any and all prayers would be appreciated as I embark with my fellow team members on this brand new summer of ministry.

Time sure does fly, but this time I am so glad of it because that means that this semester is almost over for me. Currently I am sitting in a wonderful spot because my grades are excellent! I have already taken the final exam for my EMT class and I maintained my A, so all that is left is for me to pass the skills check-offs tomorrow and an exit exam (it is kind of a practice towards National Registry). In Calculus I have wonderful grades and I only need to get 46% on the final to pass the class with an A. Chemistry is about the same because I only need to get about 50% on that final to pass with an A (I told the other students I wouldn't study too hard so that I wouldn't mess up the grading curve). And my english final is worth so few points that I can skip it and still maintain my A, so I am (with my teacher's permission). My semester is over completely for me this coming Monday!

After I get done with school I will get a few days to move, unpack, relax with friends and family, repack, and then go to Wyoming! By the way, for anyone wanting to go to MountainTop this year, there are still spaces available. Oh, and the Solid Rock website has been updated and looks incredibly awesome - check it out at www.srom.org!

Well that is my life. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts. I hope the Lord has been blessing each of you abundantly and with ever greater abundance in His nature!

And here I thought that keeping a Xanga was supposed to be a way to form friendships and receive interest and support in one's life. Though it is true that I did get a reasonably large number of comments on my last post, the majority could be summed up as saying (and I quote) "pathetic" and "pitiful." Is this a comment on my life? It would seem so because they were all in response to a summary of what I am up to. Or perhaps they were in response to my brevity. If it was in the case of the length of my post, what do you want? Perhaps you wanted me to say that I sit in class lecture for a little over 23 hours every week (you may call that pathetic because it deals with our public education system), and that I am taking an EMT-Basic class (10 credit hours), Calculus I (4 C.H.), Chemistry I (4 C.H.), and English Comp. II (3 C.H.). Perhaps my readers desired to know that my favorite class is calculus because it is easy, straightforward, and is the least straining mentally. Most hated class? None of them. But I will admit that depending on the day it is a toss up between chemistry and english for the status of least liked.

By chance some of my avid blogging friends were hoping to learn when I get up in the morning and when I go to sleep. Mondays I get up at 6:30 so that I can make it to calculus at 7:30, and then when I get out of my EMT class at around 9:00 pm I get home as quick as possible, eat, catch up on homework, and try to lay down by 10:30. Tuesday I don't have class until 9:30, so I usually sleep in until about 7:30 (unless of course I procrastinated too much on my English homework), and then once again I get back to my house around 9:15-9:30 pm after EMT. Wednesday looks a lot like Monday with the exception of the EMT class because I don't have that class on Wednesdays. Thursday is almost identical to Tuesday. I generally go home (family home this time) on weekends and hang out with family and go to church. Then the entire process repeats. Is that what you wanted to know?

Now about that rock climbing thing... It is kind of important to me because that is a large portion of my summer job and I really enjoy it. Sadly my school schedule does not allow for any climbing during the week, and the weekends have often been too cold, wet, or lacking partners. And then there is always the problem of me putting off homework, or having so much, that I have to use weekends to catch up. But I have gotten to go out a couple of times, and that has helped. This weekend is out once again, even though the weather looks to be ideal, because of the Whatley Stew! I'm not going to complain about the absence of climbing this time, but I will miss it.

So what is new in my life? Here is the update for you:

Life goes on.

School is annoying (but good).

and There hasn't been enough rock climbing in my life.

Honestly people! Is that not a good summary of what is happening in my life? I submit that it is. And I submit that it was a heck of a lot easier to type than all that garbledy gook that I just wrote. But you say you like knowing all the garbledy gook. Why? There are very few of you who are affected by the minuscule details of my day-to-day existence (and those who are can simply ask). So realistically you just clogged up a few extra neurons in your brain for no good purpose. Congratulations. Hope you feel better now, and that you can rest assured in your ponderings over over my "pathetic" life.

May the Lord's peace and blessing flow with great abundance and mercy into each of your lives!

Ben

My brother tells me that I should update this Xanga thing of mine. Perhaps he is right. So...

Life goes on.

School is annoying (but good).

There hasn't been enough rock climbing in my life.

And that about boils life down to almost useless snippets that won't detain my reader overly long. So there you have an update.

I now have all of my classes in order (yay) and I have acquired most of the books I will need for them. The house that I will be renting is almost ready for me to inhabit (i.e. It has water, power, etc.), so I will bring my large collection of stuff soon. At present the only trouble I am having is getting some decent internet service at the house because the phone lines to that section of town are really old, so I am checking into cable or possibly even getting a wireless card from Verizon or Sprint.

Life is good.
